Over 1 billion cups of coffee a year are produced in the UK using First Choice Coffee equipment, which is set to take centre stage at this year’s Hotelympia.

Visitors to stand S2410 will see the revolutionary Black&White COOL in action, enjoy a cup of the brand new premium Grand Café Grand Cru and hone their barista skills thanks to a series of masterclasses run by World Barista champions, James Hoffman and Gwilym Davies. Visitors will also get a preview of the latest addition to the Victoria Arduino range, makers of Italy’s finest traditional coffee machines.

The First Choice team will be giving their insight and advice on how to run a successful, sustainable and profitable hot beverage offer and visitors will be given the opportunity to sign-up for a copy of the First Choice Coffee report: Coffee: The facts in Black&White.

Elaine Higginson, Managing Director, First Choice Coffee comments, “Hotelympia will be the highlight of the 2010 hospitality calendar and we’d like to invite everyone to join us for a cup of coffee. We’re looking forward to sharing our fantastic product innovation and our 20 years of coffee experience with visitors to help them enhance their hot beverage for a prosperous 2010.”

First Choice Coffee Hotelympia features:

How to be the best – Masterclasses with World Barista Champions

James Hoffman, 2007 World Barista Champion, Gwilym Davies, 2009 World Barista Champion and First Choice’s own UK Barista finalist Dale Harris, will be sharing their experiences and using their skills to show visitors how to create the ultimate cup of coffee. The sessions are interactive and encourage audience participation, so visitors are encouraged to bring their queries and questions to the masterclasses. To book your session with the world’s best Baristas, call Tracey on 01908 275555.

Black&White COOL

The brand new revolutionary Black&White COOL will be live, so visitors can try it out for themselves. Extensive research and development into milk-texturing has produced Barista-quality, rich, textured creamy foam and is what makes this bean-to-cup machine unique. It provides high volume operators that don’t have the time and space for a traditional offer with the tools to deliver a really premium coffee offer. McDonald’s for example has just launched the Black & White COOL, chosen for its outstanding performance in delivering consistent high quality coffee.

“The key to any successful offer is delivering quality in the cup every time. The Black&White COOL has been developed to meet the demand for large volumes of coffee, produced quickly and ensures that every customer enjoys the same high standard of drink,” says Elaine.

Taste the Best – Grand Café Grand Cru

All visitors to the stand will be invited to try the latest addition to the new Grand Café brand – Grand Cru. This premium, Credible Coffee is fully traceable and sourced from plantations where growers take time and care to nurture and craft the quality of their crop to deliver the most extraordinary flavour. Likened to a fine wine, this complex coffee impresses coffee connoisseurs with its subtle flavours and educates coffee virgins in what really great coffee should taste like.

Coffee: The facts in Black&White

Coffee is the biggest profit driver in the hospitality business. So if you’re serious about driving sales, you need to be serious about your coffee proposition.

“The latest research shows that the coffee market is set to grow in 2010, but we believe it’s only operators that are really focused on the fundamentals; quality, consistency and the customer experience, that will increase their market share. So, if you want to see growth in 2010, come and talk to us on the stand and sign up for a copy of our unique business tool Coffee: The facts in Black&White,” continued Elaine Higginson.
